When you have little kids, you suddenly regress back to the days of New Kids on the Block or The Beatles! We went on a crazy mission last year to get Miley Cyrus tickets and then another crazy mission to go to the concert! Totally worth the money and absolutely created awesome memories for my daughter!
When my husband told me Big Time Rush would be signing autographs at the Walmart in Plano October 15, I just about flipped out! I love them! I think they are so cute and silly. It's one of the few shows I can actually watch with the kids. That and Victorious - I SUPER LOVE Victorious!
Anyways, we got to Walmart at 9am to get our wristbands and CD. Then, we returned at 5pm for the signing. It was hilarious. Girls screaming, custom made t-shirts, posters, security! Everytime one of the guys would stand up and wave - you had to plug your ears because the crowd would go nuts. So, since Carlos is my favorite (you always have to have a favorite according to Dallas, my 7 year old daughter) and luckily my husband plays hockey - I wore a hockey helmet to the signing. If you don't watch the show or know what the heck I am talking about, Carlos always wears a hockey helmet on the show. So, while in line, he points to his security guard and goes "OMG - that mom is wearing a hockey helmet!" LOLOLOLOL
We got our photos and autographs and had such a good time as a family. Carlos signed the inside of my hockey helmet! It reminded me how such simple things can make kids so excited. All that excitement and the memories created for the low cost of $8.66 for the CD and a little time in a few lines! I was gonna do the whole mastercard priceless thing - but that is way played out.
