Presley Wedding Album Samples

Way back in 2008, I wrote a post about My Best Friend's Wedding.....  Photographers - lesson learned is, DO NOT PHOTOGRAPH YOUR BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING.  Just go to it, be in the bridal party and enjoy it.... otherwise, you'll take 3 years to design a badass album because you cry everytime you look at the photographs.  So, it's finally only 10
 spreads aways from completion, but I couldn't wait to share.

These are a few sample spreads from the Presley Monster Wedding Album w/ Titanium Cover!  It is going to be so insane - the wait will be forgotten!  Love you guys and although I am so grateful I was the one capturing the memories behind the camera, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad that I wasn't in the memories too.  But, they are in my Head & Heart and I hope you LOVE the album.  Ok, I am crying now!  See! 

 

Kyanna & Kelvin 10 Year Renewal of Vows

This year, I have been blessed to photograph two Renewal of Vows ceremonies.  Kyanna and Kelvin were my first and it was fabulous!  Seeing a couple who has been together for 10 years, has two handsome little men and are so happy, is such a refreshing sight!  They are both hilarious, easy going and a BLAST!  This reception had the best music, ALL NIGHT, hands down.  I will post the DJ's info soon.  I wish you guys all the best and many more years of happiness!  May you both keep eachother laughing until you are old and gray!  XoXoXo

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica and Blake Wedding at Bella Donna Chapel

This post is dedicated in Loving Memory to Jim Knudsen. 

When I first met Jessica and Blake, I just knew they were meant to be together forever.  They were so young and sweet and excited!  From their engagement session, to Jessica's bridal portraits, to the wedding, theis couple and their families, were so kind and easy to work with.

They were married at the gorgeous Bella Donna Chapel in McKinney on May 28, 2011.  The reception followed at The El Dorado Country Club.  It was a wonderfully emotional and beautiful ceremony.

Kindell and Chris' Wedding - April 29, 2011 - Surrey House - McKinney, Texas

 
When I was contacted by Kindell, she was such a sweetheart.  I quickly learned that she was planning a wedding in less than four weeks because her fiance was being deployed to Afghanistan on June 1.  I was honored and felt blessed to be able to capture their special day.  There really aren't words that can describe how appreciative and grateful I am for all the members of our military and their families.  The sacrifices they make each day, so that you and I can live our lives, is more than a simple "Thank You" can ever repay. 

The wedding was held on the same day as the Royal Wedding.  But, to me, this WAS the Royal Wedding!!!!  Chris wore his uniform and looked so handsome.  Kindell was just like a princess.  It was an emotional, yet super fun wedding.  They were wed at the Surrey House in McKinney (http://surreyhs.com/).   Chris and Kindell and both your families - we pray for you each day, that the Lord keep you safe.  Thank you for giving me the honor to photograph this amazingly special day!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica's Bridal Portraits

 

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Randall Hickman!!!  These two newlyweds were married on May 28, 2011 at the gorgeous Bella Donna Chapel in McKinney.  It was a beuatiful ceremony and mega party reception!  I have been waiting patiently to finally share her bridal portraits!  Now, I can!  Yay!

In Loving Memory of Tennille Robinson Lasley 1980-2010. Rest In Peace Friend.

Tennille Robinson Lasley 1980-2010 You Are Our Angel Now!

In honor of her birthday WEEK and since she is definitely in heaven dropping down the snow flurries all over Texas and Oklahoma....  I had to post this a few days early! 

No excuses... I have been emotionally unable to open and view these files since Tennille passed away in April.   I went through the photos and others from her childhood to create a slideshow for her memorial, but after that I couldn't bare it any more.  To this day and forever, I will ask God why a gorgeous, brilliant, promising, loving nurse, mother, daughter, wife and friend was taken to heaven at the tender age of 30.  I cannot understand it, and it has taken it's toll on me.  When we first met, Tennille was inquiring about wedding photography services for her wedding.  I asked when she'd like to get together.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined forming such a strong bond with a person I barely knew and with her family.  I quickly learned of her condition.  A brain tumor that she had been bravely fighting for years, was back.  I never once saw her cry, never saw her scared, never saw fear in her eyes.  She was always hopeful, optimistic.  We'd make plans for the future and chat about what we'd do first when she kicked this cancer's butt.  The tale is all too common - in this battle cancer won.  Tennille was taken on the wings of angels to heaven in April 2010.  I was there to bring in her Dirty 30! Which she said couldn't be that dirty since she couldn't drink YET.  But, as soon as she was well, we were going to have a re-do!  We went to eat at a Cuban restaurant because it turns out my girl loved latin food!  We laughed and joked around and shared stories from our past.  In the hospital, I told her that when I get to heaven we are going to party like rock stars and blow the place up.  She grabbed my hand so tight and said YES!  I knew she was still there in spirit - but her physical body was being depleted.  I am grateful the Lord brought me Tennille and her amazing family into my life.  I haven't been able to stay in touch just yet because I am still not able to speak without breaking down.  I think of you everyday Tennille!  I think of your gorgeous son Dylan and what an amazing man he will become and how proud he will make his momma.  I think of your grandchild (that's right - I know you are laughing right now old lady!).  I think of Charles and how the love I saw him have for you is a love I have never and probably never will see again.  I saw the world's most strong and dedicated parents watch their baby girl fight.  I can't say anything excpet that I wish I could have stuck my hand in there and pulled that tumor out.  But, after all is said, I am so grateful you got your wonderful, beautiful and perfect wedding.  No one deserved it more!  My love is always with you TT.  Always!

Rena and Derrick

This gorgeous couple came all the way from New York for their couples' portrait session.  The moment I snapped the first shot, I screamed  "You guys are super photogenic!"  They went so well together.... just fell perfectly into eachother's arms.  I love taking couple's portraits and asking the guy to look at the girl with a loving gaze.  I'd say about 90% of the times, the guy whispers something ridiculous or dirty to the girl, and it always creates for a great photographic moment.  I'll never know what gets whispered.  I only know that I get to capture those great moments!  Best of Luck to you guys and to the bambino on the way!  Much Love!!!

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica and Blake's Engagement Portraits

Each time I get to spend an afternoon photographing a newly engaged couple, it melts my heart.  I have been married for 8 years and there is no sweeter sight than a couple in love.  When I met Jessica and Blake, I knew they'd be the coolest couple to photograph.  We met and had a great time shooting their engagement portraits.  I told them it was as if they were two perfectly fitting puzzle pieces because each time we'd set up a pose, they fell into eachother's arms perfectly!  Ahhhhhh - so sweet!  Can't wait to shoot the wedding this summer!

 

 

 

Jen & Dobie - Gettin' Hitched!

Jen and Dobie were wed on June 26, 2010 at Chandler's Gardens http://chandlersgardens.com/ in Celina just borth of McKinney.  It was my first time shooting there and the location for the ceremony was absolutely gorgeous.  It was very rustic chic! The bride and groom got ready at The Grand Hotel in Downtown McKinney, which always makes for great photographs.  On the way to Chandler's Gardens, were wooden signs leading the way for guests.  The final sign is below!  I love it!  Jen & Dobie - Gettin' Hitched!

 
 
 
 
 

We talked about this quite a bit and the couple decided that in order to capture some really great family photos, they'd agree to see eachother before the ceremony.  I know it's taboo for some, but for the sake of photos, it is truly the best.  So, we lined the family in the lobby of the hotel and arranged a grand entrance for the bride.  First, they held hands without seeing eachother.  Then, we sat Dobie with his back to Jen and had her make her entrance. 

 
 

His expression was priceless.  He was blown away - with reason - she looked stunning!!

 

 

When you get married in the country, you never know what to expect.  This is 'Jennifer', a dog from a neighbor's ranch.  She made her way over to the ceremony and made herself at home.  It was just ironic she had the same name as the bride.
